Liege City Blog Work

Ive been given Illustration work to design the banners and other content for an Liege City Information website. My work has literally just gone live on the site now, and although its only the beginning im very excited about producing more and more designs for the site on a weekly basis, a project that should definately keep me busy, and hopefully will gain me some publicity within the city. I will update this blog reguarly with the new designs I make :)

'We Hold the Rock' New Book idea...

So i think its about time I started a new project/book. I have chosen to Illustrate the American Indian Occupation of Alcatraz Island which started in November 1969 and lasted 19 months. I am very much still in the research phase but I am going to try to continue showing my progress on this blog. I think is a very intersting topic and represents the Birth of the Native American Civil Right movement, not something usually considered when thinking of Alcatraz Island and its prison. More to come....

You Art Exposition 02/09/2010

I went to the opening night at this exhibition at the You Art gallery in Liege. It was mainly graphitti based work from artists from Liege and there were some great pieces. I met one of the founders of this small publishing house in France www.fremok.org which looks really great. I hope to get my work into a show at You Art at some point down the line.

The start? Belgium and La Carotte

hey all!

So i made it to belgium! Ive been here since the beginning of august now but its taken me a month to get settled in and start to find bits of work here and there.
My french speaking is pretty average at the moment but its getting better and im getting more confident at searching out work.
So for the first entry since my arrival i thought i would post some pictures of my Bonnie and Clyde book which i got into a specialist art shop called La Carotte in Liege. Its the first time my work has gone for sale in an actual art book shop so im super excited.
Anyways thats its for now, im gonna try to keep this blog thing going and updated with my work progress every week because im always going to exhibitons and such so watch this space! love to all! x

this is the shops website, i might be on their blog soon so fingers crossed! http://www.lacarotte.be/
